5 ways to reduce your phone bills

Reduce your phone billsThere are several built in features of the T series small business phone systems which will significantly cut down your telecoms expenditure. Any one feature is capable of returning the cost of your phone system.

What is impressive about the T series, is that it makes implementing these cost saving features very simple.

Reduce monthly line rental

ISDN allows a company to have large numbers of direct lines in, without necessary paying the full cost of each phone line. You may therefore provision each staff member with their own direct line or extension.

VOIP allows a company to have many incoming lines and phone numbers without paying any monthly line rental (providing there is enough capacity on the broadband connection.)

Both VOIP and ISDN are standard features on the T series systems.

Use the least cost phone provider

Your company can reduce call bills instantly by making your phone calls intelligently through which ever provider is the lowest. The T systems will do this for you automatically - every single call made, is evaluated and put through the best phone provider.

You may for example automatically route all calls to mobiles through BT, because they provide capped mobile call rates at 20p for 1 hour. At the same time any calls to other numbers will automatically go through a VOIP provider, because some charge nothing at all for some calls to landlines.

Stop calls to international and premium rate numbers

Staff phones can be prohibited from calling international lines and other high cost telephone numbers. Groups of extensions or individual extensions can be controlled in this way. Once set, never worry again about usage of your phone system.

Cut cost of calls between branch offices

Companies with branch offices in the same country or abroad can make significant cost savings with branch office integration feature. Branch office integration effectively combines the phone systems of geographically detached systems into one large phone systems. Offices with phone systems connected in this way can make calls between themselves at no cost.

Reduce staff numbers

Allow staff in one office to handle all calls that usually go to other branches. With careful planning you can maximise the potential of your employees to handle customer calls and improve your service while at the same time keeping staff numbers low.

Examples:

  • Use this feature to reduce reception/switch board staff and handle all calls centrally.
  • If you have offices abroad separated by large time differences, why not take calls in another country which is still on working hours rather than go for the expense of paying over time for staff working unsociable hours.
